Apparently, you did not read my note about this site. All of this info came from a crimenews website which no longer exists. I had copied the website contents on this case so I could read it at my leisure. Then the site disappeared. All of the info on that site was referenced to hundreds of sources & it was too important to see it die so I pasted everything I could find to restore their info.
I have no earthly idea where anything was obtained. It was usually referenced to a newspaper article or court records with each statement. If it isn’t stated, I can’t help you. I didn’t write one word of the site & if the original owner shows up to restore his site, I’ll be happy to delete the copy I posted for public benefit. I felt it was too important to be lost.
However, from what I remember about the case, Laci’s parents (mother & Grantski) made the call to police. Here is a link to an article 4 days ago which confirms this.
http://abcnews.go.com/US/laci-petersons-mother-recalls-time-daughter-alive/story?id=49796879
If the original owner of this site info posted otherwise then some news article must have misquoted because everything he posted was referenced from some news article or court record. He posted info as it was released. Not after the fact when new info became available. Only what was known on that date.
The most notable info the original owner posted was Laci’s step fathers court statements that he was also fishing that same morning & no one had ever asked him what he was doing that same day nor about the fact he was representing a business developer whom Laci was fighting over a development. Grantski also had motive. He was also the person who said “Who goes fishing on Christmas” yet he had done the very same thing.
The police were also very quiet about the robbery across from Laci that very same morning & actually altered the date of the incident to hide it from the press & Scott’s lawyers. She might have confronted the robbers that morning.
However, under the 4-6 pm paragraph on Dec 24th it states thusly:
“He then calls Sharon Rocha a third time to tell her that Laci Peterson is not with neighbors, at which point Sharon Rocha asks Grantski to call the Modesto Police Department. The Modesto Police Department records the call as having come in at 5:48 p.m. (according to Laci: Inside the Laci Peterson Murder, this call is made at about 6:30 p.m.).”
So I don’t see the error you stated. It says Sharon asked Grantski to make the call to police and provides a reference for the info.
But why or how or where any of the site info came from, I cannot help you. It belonged to the crimenews 2000 website owner. I felt his efforts were too amazing to lose. It was just lucky I made a copy to read. But everything after that point I had copied was lost. But I did rescue 500 pages.
That’s what happens when someone’s efforts are attacked. They delete everything & we suffer the loss. I thought it was worth saving & restoring as a public service.

Laci was NOT wearing the pants her sister saw her in. Her sister later (after the murder) identified the outfit Laci was wearing, the blouse and tan pants, both inside the house. Long before Laci’s body washed ashore.

I corrected the pants issue a couple weeks ago. I had read about the pants on another site but didn’t realize there was an incorrect note about it between posts on this site.
